OBSERVE EU General Assembly Day 1 in Athens: Aligning Strategy, Data Frameworks, and National Collaboration
Day 1️⃣ of the OBSERVE EU project General Assembly in Athens 🇬🇷
We are officially on the ground in Athens for our second General Assembly meeting. Today was about more than just reporting status: we are building a concrete plan for the years ahead. And we are also honored to have our Project Officer join us! This is a vital opportunity to discuss upcoming milestones, monitor key KPIs, and explore ambitious plans for future project clustering and synergies.
Highlights from Day 1:
🔹 Strategic roadmapping: Aligning on next steps for Work Packages 1, 2, and 3, bridging administrative oversight with technical data architecture.
🔹 Empowering national authorities: Focusing on the role of our national partners in Croatia, Cyprus, France, Greece, Italy, and Spain. We are deep-diving into national frameworks to ensure OBSERVE provides the best possible support for systematic data collection.
🔹 Reliable data as the backbone: By standardizing how we collect and manage building stock information, we are helping national authorities make more informed policy decisions, supporting the EU’s renovation wave and carbon reduction goals.
A productive day concluded with enriching discussions on the future of building efficiency.
By guiding national authorities in six Member States, OBSERVE is bridging the gap between national data and the EU Building Stock Observatory.
A huge thank you to our host, the Institute for European Energy and Climate Policy Foundation (IEECP), and to all our partners for a strong start to this collaborative effort!
Stay tuned for updates from Day 2!
